Cheating? No Im not

I deleted my meta char and restarted it, and just finished my first meta game and Ive been flagged for cheating. I didnt cheat, I also havnt moded anything, exept for my custom race which wasnt in the game, I was Thalians. Also it shows at the bottom that the difficulty was cakewalk when it was set on crippling, but that may be because of the suspected "cheating".

I believe this has been addressed, or at least is being looked into. From what I've heard/noticed, any games submitted with v1.2 b1 using a non-custom race were flagged with cheating. I had the same problem when playing as the Drath.

My guess is that it's caused by negative ability points that aren't detected until after you start the game (Assuming you modify the pre-defined race some) As the Drath, I was essentially getting a free +50% to defense since their wasn't a racial ability for +50% defense, just 10, 20, or 30.

Therefore, every predefined racial ability that didn't match a bonus exactly with a selectable one was given for free, and any remaining points that would've probably been used for it are free. So when those are used, you will see a '0' in points remaining after, but the game may subtract the points from the "freebie" attributes thus producing a negative number that we can't see.

That is only my theory, but as for fixing it, send a saved game to [email protected] and explain what's wrong.

Yeah, but like I said, it's only a theory.

I also noticed you have a lot of low scoring games in your character kingmob, I would suggest you try and build yourself up as fast as possible so you can start your points racking up early since your score is determined from every turn, not just the end results of the last turn.

For example, I try and get a significantly larger military than the other races, get every resource I can, sometimes even going to war with a race to destroy them, then attempt to make peace with them as quickly as possible. Usually around the 6th year in a huge galaxy is when I finish researching every tech, so then I can concentrate on relaxing for a year or so building up production capacities and spreading influence a la constructors. Then I can just relax and let my influence start to conquer some planets for me, than position myself to conquer the remaining race's planets in one turn. Rinse and repeat for other races. Sometimes longer games are better for score, but I still try and keep my games from going over 10 years.

My last few games have been marked as cheating as well. I am not cheating. I believe the problem is that when my video card crashes my PC, and I have to restart and reload it's getting marked as a cheat. Should i just set auto save to every turn ? (believe i need a better power supply, or better heat control)

These have been with newest beta.

Also I think some of my older games were marked, but then got cleared. Is that to be expected ?
