Can't download purchased game?, can't connect to stardock??

What the heck is going on????

After much trials and tribulations, I FINALLY managed to purchase the game. (Your system doesn't agree with my ad-blocking software.) So, I've managed to purchase the game. I try to download it, and I can't connect to stardock. The program doesn't agree with my firewall (Norton Internet Security). I can't download the game, because it claims I already have it installed. I only have the demo installed, mind you. So I mark GalCiv 2 as uninstalled. Now what? Where do I go to download the game? Whenever I try to access the stardock website from the StarDock program, because it refuses to connect. I'm about to give up. I want to play this game, but it's really hard, given the number of problems StarDock is putting in my path... A little help here? How about sending me a link that I don't have to go through the StarDock program to download? I have the serial number and everything. (Heck, just check my account against recent purchases. I even purchased the CD+download version, but I want to play NOW, dang it... HELP!

Firstly, get that garbage off your system. I don't care if you think it works, because it doesn't, and if you googled you could find the link for it's lovely security hole that finally got proved. That, and it hates you. Systamnec hate you. Please, for the love of your computer, use zonealarm, and anything else.

The demo is the game, with a cap put on somewhere. You need to uninstall that first.

Then download Stardock central. This is their download manager. Next, register the game with SDC, and proceed to download.

And voila, you have it.

I've used Norton - you'll probably want to turn off the AV prior to installing

Okay, after two hours of waiting, it finally showed up as possible to download. So I'm mollified. I was just so frustrated, after an hour of trying this and that and the other thing, as to why it wouldn't download.

Sorry for the vent-fest. I had an open weekend, and wanted to play. And, two hours later, I was able to.
