MY Best Friend is Gone.

After spending the last 5 days with Michele here, I grew to realize how much this friend means to me and colleen.

We did nothing special, although the girls went on a train ride and an back-road adventure by car.

If it is possible for a man to love two women then this is it!

It will be at least a year till I get to See Michele again face to face, and even though she just left this morning, I miss her already.

Colleen managed to take off from work so the three of us could be together.

There is a comfort level I have with Michele that only Colleen tops.

I was a big boy and did not cry this time on parting, something that is very difficult to do, as I am emotional about those I love.

Michele is so sick with M.S. it just pains me to watch her suffer so, yet she goes on and on raising her three lovely children, she is determined to live long enough to see the youngest, Jacob on his own.

We will start planning the next time we get together in about six months {the plan, not the seeing each other}

With her leaving went another small piece of my heart, but that's ok as she will guard it with her life

I miss you Michele, safe passage to home and till we meet again.. kisses all over your pain filled face.

extremely lucky, to have the 2 most wonderful people on the planet, one as my wife the other as my friend.

Hey Mod, even the biggest boys cry...it is nothing to be ashamed of. Ya know?

I had a friend myself, who died when he was in the 1st grade. (If memory serves me right) So, I can understand...somewhat. Hope life treats you better.

Elie, before I read any comments, I just ask you 2 questions.

How do you feel about it?  You ok?

How does Colleen feel about it?

Those answers mean anything we say is irrelevant, but we can make them heartfelt. I suspect I know the answers, but my assumptions are not going to make a difference to the answers to those questions.

I am glad for you.  Young man!  I am catching up to you, so I can call you that.  Great man.

I am a little down, She means the world to me and to see her struggle so... well it hurts and confuses me.

Colleen feels the same way, colleen loves michele and said "the house seems a little empty without her"

YES, A VERY SPECIAL BOND, BECAUSE of Michele I became able to trust people for the most part and learned what a friend really is.
