Cheat flagged for what?

I don't understand why my latest game was cheat flagged. I didn't have negative ability points, no ctrl-n, no initial alliances and no edited game files. In fact before the game I had made a fresh install because SDC update from 1.11 broke the game(e.g. clicking Options in main menu crashed the game immediately).

The only thing I can think of is that I saved the game on first turn and loaded it multiple times. I kept restarting the game to change video settings because there was this big yellow blob over the starting position.

Game version was 1.20[b].008.

What am I missing?

That big yellow blob was the sun, and this is our friend, mister bug

Can you grab a debug.err, or anything that'll allow a look? It shows why the cheat flag is put up.

It may be that the beta is creating the anomalous score to happen.

Please keep a copy of your save game and also zip up a copy and send it to [email protected]
Label the email as 'Beta 1.2 anomalous score' so the devs know its about the new beta and finally please then post in this thread > https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=274&AID=118800#917242 any further bugs you may come across.

We are trying to keep all the bug reports in one place so the devs can easily see them all

I had the same issue and sent a zipped savegasme to Stardock now.

Just one question, does that mean we should stop submitting metaverse games until this bug gets addressed, because I don't want to keep them busy manualy correcting metaverse scores?

I had the same issue yesterday and wrote a mail about it.

Read the following announcement, if you haven't already.

You do realize that your link basically is months old? This is about 1.2-Beta, not older than a few days.

Yes, I "two" had MV score problems this weekend. One was on a win with the Altarian of all races, noted that I was a cheater on it, and you all know how hard it is for me to conclude a game on gigantic, why would I ever want to have a cheat score on top of it...

Second was a win with the your friendly Drengin, this time the posting had an error 16 (not sure) so checked serial number, got email, changed serial, attempted to post score got an error 12 (different serial number than MV).

To make a long story short, I have zipped the saves, zipped the debug and zipped the pref.ini file just in case and sent them into stardock. I recommend you do also.
