I'm having this same problem and it's driving me crazy, though in my case I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I reformatted my computer since the first time installed the game.

I have no idea how to fix it.

I've tried using SDC to gen a new serial and put it into Galciv, copy and paste and everything, but I always get the same results.

A detailed explanation on how to fix this is desperately needed. It also needs to be posted somewhere permanantly because I KNOW other people have had this problem and have had a HECK of a time getting any sort of help trying to solve it.

Assuming you all purchased and have GC2 legally it shouldn't be a problem :-/ I mean perhaps it's something to do with not having entered in your codes into your stardock account or associating purchase information with your registered e-mail that goes with your login?

Errors like these are a complete mess so hopefully my guesses will help if only slightly.

Yep, Commander. It shouldnt be. But it is.

I have an idea though.. I played a LONG game and saved it a lot. Back when I started it i had a serial number.. say X. But during the next few weeks, due to reinstallation adn reformatting I changed my serial number (a number of times). Now I have an ew serial number in my game copy (exact same one SDC sent me). But the problem above appears when I try to upload my really LONG Game from some time ago. I think the SaveGame itslef has a serial number embedded and it was the OLD one. *MAYBE*. Can someone verify.

I'll try adn upload a NEW really short game. See what happens.

Everytime you request to have your serial number sent to you it is regenerated.  So with that the most likely cause for this is that you started a game with the old serial number then re-installed with the new serial number and then submitted the game with the new serial.  The system recognizes that the game was submitting with a different serial number that it was initially started with and rejects the game.  This is to prevent people from sharing saved games and submitting the same game via a different account.
