There is only ONE America

There is only ONE America

Why is it when the United States makes a mistake in policy, a good part of the world seems to become unglued. Another nation could even be directly involved with the American mistakes yet the other country is given a pass, while America gets the blame,

It seems that the rest of the world just loves bashing America for not attaining the goal of perfection in all things.

We spend billion\s helping other countries get back on their collective feet, yet when America needs help, as shown with the hurricane Katrina incident the world seems to be busy doing something else.

What the rest of the world does not seem to get is that America is an diverse country, filled with people of all races, religions and colors trying to get along. America is truly the land of the FREE and the home of the brave. What other country do, people risk there lives for to get into? Legally or Illegally the worlds people come in huge walls of humanity.

We make mistakes all the time, but somehow Americas mistakes are more egregious than other countries do. Yet for all our youth as a nation we make great strides and truth be told a good part of the world WANTS WHAT AMERICA HAS, freedom. and the highest standard of living among ALL other countries.

I am tried to the bone of how other countries look to America in time of need, yet take the very first opportunity to betray us or if possible seek a way to destroy us.

America needs to stop being so generous. We need to tend to our own country and her poor and helpless. Our infrastructure is in desperate condition {highways, electrical grids, bridges Schools.

We need to come up with some kind of health insurance for everyone! We can send boat loads, cargo jets and medical equipment to countries like Iran yet 45 million Americans have no health coverage.
.

Stop helping countries that hate us, stop helping countries that refuse to help themselves.

Let the natural selection run free again, let those not strong enough to fend for themselves wither and die, the world will be a better stronger place for it. Don't hate us because we are best of the best

GOD BLESS AMERICA@ and GOD bless you.

"Secondly, the UN is NOT out to get America. Just because their agenda is not America's agenda does not mean the UN is out to 'bring America to her knees." Sorry, but I just don't believe it."

Of course it isn't. Why? Because it is an imaginary entity. Nations hiding behind the flag of the UN are most certianly interested in using its resources to thwart the US's interests. As I said on my article on the subject, once you get that blue flag out of your mind and start watching who is really speaking, you realize the UN doesn't do a damn thing.

When they get up and pretend to be speaking from morally-lofty neutrality, remember they aren't citizens of the UN. It's just a tool they use to make those speeches without appearing as combative as they really are.

I haven't read your article on the subject (and I will). As I understand it, the UN is made up of five permanent member nations, these being the UK, Russia, France, China and the USA. Am I to understand that the UN is working to 'thwart the US's interests' even though the US is one of the five member nations? Hmm, sounds a little bit like another conspiracy theory, at least from where I'm standing, anyway.

That is the Security Council, not the General Body.

Reply By: dynamasoPosted: Monday, May 22, 2006America is by far the greatest country, period.According to this same body of nations America is the root of all evil. This same corrupt united nations is united in one thing and one thing only, bring America to her knees.Okay, that's it. I've had a gutful of rhetoric like this. America is NOT the greatest country in the world. Most nations have their good points and bad points. Saying Australia is the best nation in the world has never occurred to me because I've only ever lived in Australia, so how do I know what other nations are like? Secondly, the UN is NOT out to get America. Just because their agenda is not America's agenda does not mean the UN is out to 'bring America to her knees." Sorry, but I just don't believe it.I can't believe you can write this, then in your next article write about the racism you faced as a child. This doesn't sound to me like the 'greatest country, period'.

maso? I believe that America is the greatest country, yes she had many things about here that can use some change. With all the bad in america there is a lot of good too.

I think that anyone living in a different country SHOULD BELIEVE THERE COUNTRY IS THE GREATEST!

I for sure mean no offense maso to you or anyone else from a country that is not the United States/.

If you consider the UN to be a body unto itself that has been infiltrated from the outside then sure it sounds like a conspiracy theory. If you see it for what it is, just an umbrella that a lot of nations stand under, then it isn't. It's more like your neighbors that don't like you being on the neighborhood committee with you, constantly needling you with decrees.

I'm not saying that we don't do it too. Of course we do with our "allies" in the UN. The fact is, though, if you look at the UN's function over the last 15 years or so, the nations involved are working their interests there much harder to oppose the US than they used to. There's been a sad trend towards "fairness" that left nations like Libya chairing the human rights committee.

That wasn't really fairness, that was a concerted effort to make "balance"; i.e. make sure that the US wasn't too powerful there. That's been taken advantage of to a huge degree... to the point now that now the UN for many countries is just a tool to prop themselves up against our policies.

damn you and your writing skills!@ damn you.

How can anyone seeing the antics of the United Nation and think they are somehow fair? Remember this is the same body that rose and cheered yassa arid rat. Time and time again we will read things like the terrorist activities of HAMAS, from the side with sense they are hailed as a terrorist organization, from the body of the u.n. they are recognized as some heroic freedom fighters.

Doc,

Yep, sorry, you're right. But I still won't believe in the conspiracy theories regarding the UN. I take it in the same light as I take any unfounded conspiracy theory.

Modman,

[Quote]I believe that America is the greatest country, yes she had many things about here that can use some change. With all the bad in america there is a lot of good too. I think that anyone living in a different country SHOULD BELIEVE THERE COUNTRY IS THE GREATEST!

I'm not saying I don't love my country and am proud to be an Aussie, because I do and I am. But if you think about it, saying something as blatant as 'America is by far the greatest country, period' is a huge call. I know there are great things about America and rotten things too. All nations, particularly western nations, have good and bad charateristics.

I for sure mean no offense maso to you or anyone else from a country that is not the United States
Oh, I got a little bit offended but don't worry, I got over it very quickly. I never stay offended very long. As I see it, you were speaking from a noble patriotic point of view, which is commendable.

Baker,

An outsider's view of the US might be as a monstrous nation hell bent on converting the world to their ways, as I think any nation responsible for contributing to the peace of the world as a whole leaves themselves open to being seen. It simply comes down to points of view, doesn't it?

I think part of the UN's problem is not wanting to offend anybody and in doing so, they end up offending some anyway. It would be a hard thing to put together such a diverse group of nations and have them all agree all the time. At least the UN tries to work at peaceful solutions to human rights issues etc.

Not a problem.  Some of us do, some of us dont.  I do understand your point. And do agree with it dispationately.  But being an American, we are really tired of the UN.  WHile the rest of the world sees us as evil, again and again, and again. We keep giving and get tired of them at times.

Modman,

I'm sorry but I don't know what happened to my previous post. I also responded to Baker but it completely disappeared. As I said, I was a little offended but then, I suppose you didn't write it and seriously not expect anyone to be offended, even if slightly. But I don't hold grudges and understand you were talking from an admirably patriotic standpoint.

exactly, believe me when I say if I saw you comment your country is the greatest on the planet, I would understand completely, but here we have a small difference I would not get offended at all, not in the least.

Must be me getting mellow in my dotage.

As I said, I don't think I could or would make such a categorical statement only because experience would dictate I have little or no idea about what it is like living anywhere else.

Yeah, and I wasn't have a particularly pleasant day when I responded initially. Its my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
