How old are you?

How old are you?

I found some very interesting posts and observations on this forum.

I'm curious how old are the people hanging here and playing this game.

27 right here...

Peace!

Ah, here's this thread again: 36 for two more months.

Thanks for resurrecting it, Purge, I missed my chance to post first time around, and I thought it was off to the Unsearchable Intergalactic Rubbish Heap for good.

Holy crap! You guys are really old. OK, so I'm 57, but I'm still a pup next to Vulcan2, LOL. And, yes, TBS does attract a more "mature" community. I'm a Total War veteran. This is my first journey into "non-historical" strategy. Lot of fun. One gets tired of the same maps in the historical games; I mean, how much can you change Europe? I've been reading the forum for a few weeks, but didn't have an urge to post until I saw how ancient some of you are. Can anyone tell me how to put crutches on my Huge Hulls?

Finding this thread was a very pleasant surprise. Even though the quality of most posts on these forums had me thinking that we weren't composed of a bunch of 15 year-olds (Marcathonas, you are really 15?!? ... you are the most mature 15-yo I have seen post!), I didn't expect to be surrounded by near-age or older peers here.

I'm a child of the 70's. 35 years young here. I've been gaming on PCs for nearly 25 years - I remember cutting my teeth on Loderunner, Wizardry (Proving Grounds - the original), Ultima II, Might and Magic, and the original TBS classic, Empire.

Regardless of my physical age, I will always be a gamer. My hat's off to Vulcan - I can only hope to continue my gaming ways for another 40 + years!

45 here. I, too, am pleasantly surprised that there is a significant number of my peers here.

I do play LAN games with my 10 year old son (we have a 2nd computer). He is still learning the ropes when it comes to strategic and timely management of his resources in games like Rise of Nations, Starcraft, BFME or C&C Generals, but he can hand me my butt in Starfleet Command III.

This would be an interesting game to play on a LAN against my son. He has actually just started to develop a taste for TBS games. It will be interesting if a multi-player version ever becomes available.
