Why is it that Wincustomize is the only site I go to that "acts" like it is on dialup? Did the "new" servers help at all? It seems worse to me now. Any major site issues we should know about? I hope there is something. At least it would explain the "turtle" action.....

Problems here to.
'My Skins'=Service Unavailable
...and all my skin and forum update links that I get in my email take me to the WC Homepage.
Plus...it's just plain slow navigating around the site.

i was using d-up for a long time, and the site was much slower then. but there is not much more speed.

LoL...This site is slower than dial-up and I have a pretty decent DSL connection...
The rest of the web works, when I come here, I just make sure I have other things to keep me occupied, liek for instance..Washing the car..walking the dog...going to the store..reading the newspaper..LoL I get alot done when I come here...

If any of you have "Honey-do" lists..waiting for pages to load here is a perfect time to knock a few items off the list. Your significant other will love when you visit WC, they will be asking you to do it more often!..LMAO..

Awwwww, come on you guys, it ain't that bad! Just cos I managed to complete fully comprehensive tourist guides to the 30-odd countries I've visited over the years, it doesn't mean the site's running slowly

Seriously though, I'm finding things have improved over the last month or so....pages are loading faster than before, definitely fewer 'errors'. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones

Now, now Po'....don't go blaming WC for that!!! If you didn't spend so much time 'troll thumpin', you'd get a heck of alot more done. So put away that thumper and get back to work....were all a waiting with bated breath on this oft' mentioned WB of yours.

I'm supposedly on 5 MB Dsl. Sometimes this site is really fast. Sometimes.....OMG. I give up and do something else.

I don't know if it would help or not, but I've noticed that even when it is fast, it tends to show 1-2 bars progress.......pauses......then bammmo it's there.

When it's really slow, it's lucky to get to 3-4 bars in 2-3 minutes.

I guess I'm just wondering if there is a re-direct going on that is causing this.?

Its a bit better today..although i'm still getting timed out messages when I post in forum. And that " wierd " page that wincustomize gets when the fonts are all different and page is white. I have to exit and re-enter each time - after a few times I need to delete cookies and start over.

When I posted this ...the site logged me out....

In any one day it's both fast and slow....one page-load can be so fast you didn't even see it...and then the next one stalls totally....

The slowdown started with a bump on 24th April. Whatever was changed then is probably the cause

In the past few days I've been getting "Service Unavailable" pages...pages not loading...When I get an update notice to a forum topic and click the email link it takes me to the home page...and I'm not getting some notices I should be getting...Usually the main page loads fairly quickly...but after that its a crap shoot clicking on anything else. The site has gotten worse pretty much since the server upgrade or whatever was going on there.

And adding to a post gets me a "Timeout Expired" page and I have to back out of the forums (which takes about 5 to 8 clicks) and then go back in to see if it was posted...sometimes yes...sometimes no.

What I do is Copy the text and just hit the refresh button to see if it posted..while waiting I take a nap, cook a meal, reply to a few dozen Emails..etc..etc.. LoL

UMM..Actually..I have noticed some improvements with the site..not in the "speed" factor, but it is obvious work is being done and some nice changes are being made..
