Recalculation and playing other games

First off, I like this game. Secondly, the metaverse is one of the big differences it has to offer compared to other strat. games. Thirdly, I'm now playing Civ 4 instead since I can submit to the fansbased HoF thy have going and thus get recognition of my achievements. Why am I telling you this? Because I would most likely be playing GalCiv 2 if I could get a straight up answer as to when/if the fabled recalculation of metaverse scores is due. Watching your score decrease without knowing if the old ones will ever be modified really throws the enjoyment.

I'd be content with a simple statement that says you're experiencing problems and need more time. Anything but this stonewalling. Thank you for your time and attention

I agree. I have placed 4 posts to this matter in different locations and have not received an answer. All we ask for is an acknowledgement of our request. Is anybody out there? It has been 2 weeks since 1.1 was released, and still no recalc. A timeframe as to the changes is all we ask for. You have not responded to any of our posts.

The entitlement mentality will get you nowhere. They owe you nothing. You did not pay for a service, you paid for a license. The fact that Stardock continues updating the game and providing a Metaverse is wonderful, but it should not be treated like something they owe you. After they provided you the software w/license, they finished their part of the transaction. Thus the proper attitute is not a demanding one.

Geez, where did you come from? Stardock said the scores would be recalculated. Some of us are just wondering when it will happen. Where did you get this "entitlement mentality" idea from out of this thread?

Yeah! I'm starting to post to the metaverse and since the 1.1 patch, i can tell you they recalculate the score you submit, but not the old scores.

I have submitted a game at 1.0X. I had 14000 points which were displayed on the metaverse. Then, i submitted a game with the beta patch for 1.1. My score was 8000 and it was added to the 14000 to give a score of 22000 on the metaverse. Now yesterday, i've submitted a game from the latest patch 1.1 and my final score was 11000. My metaverse score has only grown by 2000 because now it is at 24000 total.

So there was something going on here! Very sad to see such a thing! 11000 to 2000? Why don't they show the real score that i will get on the metaverse straight in the game? Would be less dissapointing.

Also, with these new puny scores, how am i supposed to ever catch up with the no.1 guys who has something like 1.5 million point? I have to play something like 1000 games to get to this score. And long games too. It was a Large galaxy game.

The metaverse is supposed to foster competition and fun, but with the cheaters out there, it ruin the fun big time. Why should i play a metaverse game if i cannot compete and ever catch up to the first ones? And you cannot play all the fun scenarios with dreadlord appearing and the like, so what is the fun of the metaverse if the scoring is useless?

Might as well put the metaverse down, you will save some bandwith and money. You'll lose a lot of the community tought....
