Hey Kenwebb, after reading through this thread, I've been wondering...

Does your Omega Mod 2.0 essentially add the same things as Kryo's Hull System Mod, such as adding blank hardpoints and hulls as jewelery?

I've been thinking about switching over to your mod for quite some time now, in order to download your amazing ships (  ), and I've seen some models that are not included in Kryo's (engines, weapons, etc.).

Keep building, you put us all (and I do mean that literally) to shame.

Well, maybe not pubmaster or logic sequence...

Well I not sure how Kryo’s mods is used but Omega 2.0 is all in the Mod file directory so you should be able to switch back and forth.

It appears that Omega mod adds a large number of hull models from various sources, plus UDFM (For the curious, UDFM's existence is the reason I have not added all the other components in my mod). It does not replicate the hardpoint tools featured in KHSM.

The two do not use any identically named files, so they should be able to coexist if you put them together in one folder.

how can make AI races (eg: cylons) use only cylon ships?
one more question: can I add to starting tech some of your added ones?? (eg: cylon techs to cylon race so they will not need to research them)

Ok I figured the Tech things
So only one problem remains, how can I make cylon desgins exclusive to the cylon race And remove the ability to build ships like "dreadnought" "avatar" "battleship" ?

Ok there is a few way to do this, I will show you the easiest way( I think).
Go into My Games/GC2DarkAvatar/Ships folder or any folder you have my ships in
Copy a shipCFG file and now go to the Stardock/Galciv2/mods/Omege-2 (or what name you have given to the mod ) open the Ship Templates folder and paste it there.

Now go to DarkAvatar/Data/Ship Templates and copy the name only of the ship you wish to replace and then return to the Mod ship templates folder and paste the name to the ship file you had place there

Now go into the game Edit your opponent /Appearance/ Create custom ship style and the rest is up to you

As for the Tech-tree, it is from the BSG conversion mod that I am still working on so there is tech in the tree that are not being used yet.

Hmmm Doesnt seem to work   
I copy any *.shipcfg file from gc2darkavatar/ships to ship templates in omega-2/data/shiptemlates then from GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Data\ShipTemplates I pick a ship I want to replace and copy its name to the *.shipcfg file I chose earlier. Correct?

Kenwebb are your new military etc bases available as a stand-alone download? They look very nice and i would like to use them if possible.

BTW how do you change the default ones?

eldardude, Try to do the same for the ShipCfg folders if that does not work then I would just replace the ShipCfg and the ShipTemplates files in the DarkAvatar mail folder..(make copies of everything you replace)

Drengin, yes the Star bases are available for download (OmegaStarB.zip)
You will need DA, 1.4x and Omega2 to use the Star bases pack
The file are already renamed all you have to do is add them to the mod ShipCfg folder or the DarkAvatar mail ShipCfg folder.(make copies of everything you replace)

It has been brought to my attention that they may be a problem with Omege mod 2.0 using DA models (ship hull) as jewelry making them available to anyone regardless if they purchase DA or not. This was not my intent. Although the Ship and Star Base pack do require Gamers to own the full version of DA to run the pack and I personally believe this will encourage gamers to buy DA, I am temporary pulling Omege mod 2.0 until I can resolve the problem or until Sardock ok the mod.

I apologize to Sardock and all gamers, and I hope can fix this problem.

Ok, with a little help from kryo I am make a modified batch file that will copy the models from the gamers installation copy of DA. But it will take me a little bit of time to figure it out. Once I get it working I will include new instruction on how to install the mod

I jabe a humble request, on the off chance you have a spare minute in building monster mods and sorting tech problems etc

would you take a crack at nocking up a couple warhammer 40,000 ships? assuming your familiar with the topic

The Omega mod 2 has been fix. With help from kryo I have a batch file that will copy the DA modals from your pre-installed copy of DA
The new folder has detail instruction on how to install.
