Is it worth playing Painful or higher?

It's just how metaverse scoring works. He probably played much larger games than you did. For more info about scoring check the metaverse thread.

Did you check if his games were version 1.0? Back then people got way more points pr game, something they say they are going to fix soon. But you shouldn't play for the metaverse, play for fun! Sure, you can easily play lots of games on "challenging" and get good points, but it's much more fun to play on masochism!

But you should play the metaverse, play it for fun. Sure you can easily plat a lot of games on easy levels if you have 1.0 version still but come "Recalculation" time your in for a big let down. I won't quote the post but, according to what I have read in these forums all previous versions to 1.1 will not get the 10X bonus that 1.1 and future provides to your score. Addtionally, all games will have a multiplier on skill level. (sometimes refered to as the Alien AI Intelligent Quotient your playing against).

PS: I understand some folks are not posting their scores on the new version because your scores are going down. Thank you. This allows me to catch up a bit.

I have recently started playing on suicide and will finish my first suicide metaverse game soon. I am hoping it gets a huge score boost. I have found that from painful to suicide is a huge difference. I do not think that a lower level game no matter what the size and no matter what the situation should score higher then a higher level game. THe ai is way more effective when you move up. Let's compare to real life. It is like completing math questions. I could easily do 10,000 grade 3 questions but might stuggle with a 100 grade 12. Even if you place a multiplier each level should have a range with a cap.
