I want HIM to be like this:

- Broad shoulders. He doesnt have to be a gym freak. I just want to feel small and safe in his arms.

- Kind eyes, i dont care what color. They have to irradiate with kindness.

- He has to show me his affection. But he should also let me breathe. And he should know the difference. Still, I want cuddles, and kisses (lots of kisses), and sweet talk...

- Strong without being insensitive

- Very patient. I know I can be a pain, I mean a P-A-I-N with capital letters! And so patience should be his secret weapon.

- A good cook. Not meaning I want a chef, but you know it's always nice to have someone you love fix you something. Especially since I'm not good at cooking at all, I just know basics for survival purposes...

- Have a lot conversation. I dont trigger conversations. It's rare that I start talking about something. But when someone starts on a topic, I catch up and add my sixpence. So if we dont want to just stare at each other he should have a lot of interesting things popping out of his cute mouth!!

- Have a job. I want him to be able to take me out to dinners, or to the movies, or buy me things like clothes and jewellery. Lately I've been staring at these gorgeous black pearls earings *sigh*

- I want him to know how to play the guitar, and I want him to sing for me for special ocasions or out of the blue. I want to be his muse.

- I want him to be my bodyguard. I want him to protect me. To always stand by me no matter what.

- I want him to have a sense of humour. Sometimes it's not easy to keep up with what I'm saying when i'm tripping, so he should be on the same wavelenght.

- I want him to be supportive when shit happens or when i'm on a project. I want him to encourage me and to give me strength.

I used to know someone that has most of the qualities enumerated up here. But no one is perfect. Should I settle for less than best? Or should I look forever?

Don't settle but don't limit yourself by making "lists" either. Mr. Right will be perfect for you ... but probably in amazing ways you don't expect or
imagine right now. I can also guarantee that he will piss you off at times too. Look for someone who loves the real you, with maybe a few key
requirements that allow you to be who you're meant to be. Beyond that: have fun, keep your eyes wide, and your heart guardedly open.

Yes that makes sense. "one day my prince will come..." I'm not in a rush really, but I do wonder if I'll find my perfect match sometime soon...

Your list is a fun exercise, but in reality, I don't think you'll find someone with all those qualities. If you do, the search will have taken so much of your life that you'll be able to buy His and Hers hearing aids and walkers.

I tell any females who are looking for Mr. Perfect (someone who meets all your preset characteristics), stop looking for Mr. Perfect. Look for someone good, decent, a mensch , Link
and your love will make him Mr. Right.

Also, a good point was made: could any women meet the unrealistic standards of a man making a list?
