Question about medals displaying

from GalCiv2 Forums
I finally got around to making a metaverse char (turns out I couldnt with fire fox 1.0) and I finished a game with that char. I see all these other posts from people with thier shiny medals, and am wondering how to get mine to show? Thought it might take a while, and its been close to 24hrs so far. Anyone able to help?

Press the "My Account" button at the start of this page. Then go to "Edit Characters" and choose the character with the medals you want to show and make it your default. I think that's what I did.

Setting a character to default will indeed put those icons up under your posts, even previous ones you've made.
I kind of wish you could have collective stats show though since I plan on running 3 characters... oh well.

Not working for me... I have 2 chars (one was created by mistake).. When none had points, I was able to select my default char. But now, that my default char has points (the other is not ranked at all), I can no longer change the default. I can click the link, but nothing happens.

The one set to default right now has earned some medals, but they are not showing up here.

There is no way to delete a character, is there?

that default button sure is hard to see. I suggest we make it black on black and hide it altogether...

I was wondering that myself. I was going to try it, but I have seen people with defeats posted and did not have the medal. Perhaps it is a certain amount of loses, or... well, there probably isn't any point in speculating. I don't think I've yet to see that medal on a character though.
