Wouldn't life be wonderful if this planned and now promised "no immigrant" day became a day when many employers, customers and co-workers learned that the U.S.A. doesn't really need all of these immigrants at all?
I don't want to waste a ton of time here typing an article that people won't really read, and making points that others might agree with, but which they don't want to take the time to make, so I'll keep this article fairly short.
Just consider the possibilities. What would happen if most U.S. citizens never noticed, nor even cared that tomorrow (5/1/2006) was a day when immigrants didn't show up for work?
Am I really just making wishful thoughts here, or is it possible that some companies might learn that they don't really need the help of many of the people that are promising to make a statement here?
