WPT,
Seems to me the Republicans have had a majority in the Senate, House, and Executive branch for some time now (and now pretty much own the Judiciary to boot...but we still get to blame the Dems for practically everything...scapegoating comes to mind. The Republican Party is not on the side of the ordinary person, never has been, never will be. That party is the party of Big Business, always has been, always will be. Now, if you want to be a Big Businees wanna-be, go ahead, comb your hair like the Donald, get excited about the Apprentice, but don't think for a minute they care one wit about you, your pocket book, the price of gas, or anything else until it affects their bottom-line. Those 1 or 2% who are getting so WAY much more richer will keep doing so while the rest of us walk around with the Wal-Mart dregs happily sucking on our mental lolli-pop being ever so happy to be encouraged and patted on the head by the Family Bush for doing so. Far from fiscally responsible, looking at our deficit and out of control spending, it appears the Republican party is the borrow now on *your* dime, pay WAY later (out of your pocket) party.
Oh, this just in, that old conservative Rush, who said people who use drugs should be accused, sentanced and put away, and made tons of money and fun with our fomer president, just made a deal that kept his butt outta the slammer.
Be well,
