How is favorite race determined?

Hello,
I've played/posted 3 games:
-Korx, Easy, Tiny
-Drath, Normal, Medium
-Altarian, Normal, Gigantic
Since I've spent more time in game years as Altarian shouldn't that be my favorite race? I'm trying out each race (albeit on a variety of galaxy settings) & have been ramping up the difficulty.
