I have just realized that I'm only 1645 points behind everyone's favorite blogger. Sir!... Peter!.... Maxwell! I realize I don't have any "big" blogs on here but I do know that on an average, if I get replies, I get about 100-200 points for each of my articles. And then every now and then I actually get insight rankings. Now, if I can just keep this up and maybe catch myself one of those big blogs that all you big guys get all the time, I could push my self right behind his most high, Sir Peter Maxwell. Now, I do have a number of articles that were total flops but you must understand, I prefer to respond to blogs or just simply make chit chat so I don't do well with the blogging aspect of this thing. All I do is sit on here for like 4 or 5 hours at a time replying to you guys and Creating new articles. Of course I like to stay away from them but it helps me so I do it. I'm sure someone here has noticed that I don't exactly have the greatest writing skills. I mean I could show you poetry of mine that's semi-decent, or stories i've started but never finished but that would just prove it.

I'm just saying that I'm gonna try and catch up with Peter just as a threatened I could (would) do. So, have fun while you're still ahead. I'm coming for all of you that are ahead of me. Except Brad. There's no way that gonna happen. Until we meet again...

Umm.. looking at your score I'd have to definitely say you're way ahead of me.Peter is only in 22 and you are in 19. Don't worry though, I think I can pass you up too if I try hard enough.

Just an update.... I'm only 1561 behind now. It may not seem like I've done much catching up but considering he even posted some new articles I'm feeling pretty good about my work so far.

I think that you have missed an important point, the personal ratings mean nothing as anyone can type out a thousand replies just saying good article and get a lot of points. You are mistaking the points you have gained for posting inane replies with points for your own articles.

The points you have gained for your blog are minimal and I think you will find that I am way ahead of you young man, your blog is a lowly 67. I don't really want to judge you on the points system as it is slightly childish but you seem to be obsessed with it - why are you so bothered how my blog rates, am I that important to you that you judge your self worth on being ahead of me?

But if you insist lets look at some facts and figures:

Those figures don't look very good for you do they dear boy, I have double the amount of points in the last 30 days than you have had EVER. I find it quite insulting that you would even consider your "work" to be on par with mine. I can categorically tell you that you will never be ahead of me!

This comment is for both of you: I think that you are comparing apples and oranges here. I LIKE Captain Cornbread's blogs because they are so natural and down to earth. In fact, you remind me a lot of Holden Caulfield--a really memorable character created by the great J.D. Salinger. I think you really do underestimate your writing skills. Spelling and grammar errors can always be corrected by an editor. So don't sweat the small stuff. Your blogs are almost always a good read. And that's what matters most. It's a sign of genuine talent. So keep writing!

Now onto Sir Peter (that's NOT a deliberate pun). I like your blogs because they are so purposely tongue-in-cheek. I mean, you really do put Masterpiece Theatre to shame sometimes! LOL. I can actually imagine you lurking between the pages of a really good Agatha Christie novel. So your talent is considerable, and your blogs are almost always a very good read. So it seems to me that even though both of you are very different when it comes to how you go about writing your blogs--you still have one thing in common: the ability to grab and hang onto the reader's attention. And that is one of the finest things a writer can do. So don't worry so much about who's getting the most points, etc. Just be happy that A LOT of people enjoy reading your work. I mean, I'm actually looking forward to what you guys are gonna come up w/next! LOL. So I thank you both for sharing...

When I say "newby" I mean, I'm returning to this thing way behind as if I am new. Though I will consider you the champ until it comes down to me getting up there. I just don't make people hate me to get my points. It's harder to do it the way I'm doing it.
