Is it me, or do you have to be a f**king computer scientist to play or mod Gal Civ 2. Metaverse is THE worse, ever online game. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to register. I’ve tried it dozens of times, no use. I manage to get a picture and a username. Great. BRILLIANT!! Lets open some cold ones!!
But, alas, the Serial Number (SN, for short) kicks you in the nuts. I typed in my SN, but it was not on the database. So, I followed the link it suggested and filled in my SN there. No luck.

So what the F**K do I do??????????????????????

Well, it would be, if you could F*****G understand all that pointless codes and s**t

How do you start? Where do you learn the skills to do Modding???????

You could check your keyboard, it seems there are some keys broken.

And about modding, there is a guide in the database.

No it isn't I registered, so you may have problems, but only because you have problems it's not impossible.

You're making as little sense as is humanly possible.

Are you sure you aren't entering your collector's edition content serial number in the box? (Assuming you have one). How have you even updated the game without a working serial number? Or have you updated?

Modding is easy as pie. Most of the files are easy to read XML files. It's far easier than other games, but it's also far less flexible.

Hello there. That attitude and tone of voice is not welcomed. Having said that dont expect much help if every thing is "F---" this and "F---" that. If you want to calm down and try again, maybe you get better results.

shogun you must remember not everyone has great communicating skills like you or I or many other one this website. There are some of us who don't even leave their room, yet alone make human contact with people. These type of people you just smile and whisper shmuck under your breath

It definitely has to be you, the files are in XML format, and are a heck of a lot simpler to understand than most of the other formats I've seen used by other TBS games.

Maybe you should sit down and take the time to learn, instead of jumping on here and swearing about everything. Just a thought...

First of all, I believe the problem are can be refered to other discussions or supports from once upon atime (previous posts).

GTA5, you seem to be an exception in everything so you'll manage as long as you give information to those who'd help without slapping them.

Personally I don't really know what you did wrong, but first things first: put the right serial.
Then for modding, the modders say it's even better than elsewhere so I guess it's true for others who would like to get in.

I've had a bit of trouble with registration to the Metaverse, also. I think i just tried it at a heavy time, though. I must agree that cursing on these forums is not appreciated, although as a girl in my human rights class said on day one "sometimes, you just gotta roll like that."

As far as the modding goes, just open everything in notepad and follow their lead. Most of the times you don't even need to write tags, just figure out what tags do (they're mostly self explanitory) and change the values, or copy a whole section of their code and change it how you like. I still haven't figured out a couple of things, like how to change shipcfgs, those seem realyl complex, but that isn't really important. It's probably one of the easiest games to mod out there....just take some time to learn.

indeed. i work CS for a national lender. believe me, a teenage brat frustrated with his new video game isn't half as bad as a fully grown brat who didn't read their mortgage contract before signing it. and at least stardock is small enough with enough peer visibility that we can still roll up a newspaper, hit him in the nose and say NO! BAD!

id have to agree with mattkennedy up there, um.... yeah i think its just you. seriously half the files can be opened in wordpad if its an xml file it can be opened in a browser, anything, most of the files are easy to figure out, i had no idea what some were, so i just started trying programs to open them you'll figure it out pretty fast.

Some forums prevent you from making two posts in rapid succession.

Some forums even overdo it just a bit.

And then there are some which overdo it a lot.

It's just you, gta5. But I think Stardock is partly responsible for this as well. They neglected to put a warning sticker on the box.
