Ubisoft has cited "complaints" with the
Starforce copyright protection system as a means to end its relationship with
Starforce. For the moment it is unknown as to which copyright protection system
the publisher will move to. "Ubisoft has decided to use an alternative
copy-protection system to Starforce for upcoming releases," said a rep for the
company.
The announcement will see Ubisoft’s upcoming PC RPG The Heroes of Might and Magic V be the first title using the new system, whichever it may be.
