Help with account

Hello,
I created my account yesterday through this site (GalCiv2.com), and it created a Stardock account for me. I was able to validate and activate the account (through email). I then downloaded the Stardock Central program and tried to login in using my email and password. It seems that the password I used contains characters that "Stardock Central" does not like.
I tried to edit my profile to change my password providing the correct no standard character password and I am unable to login. I can only login to GalCiv2.com to post on this forum but when I try to go and edit my profile through stardock it doesn't accept my non-standard character password.
I emailed stardock and it has been 24hrs (almost) with no reply, which is odd. So I thought I try to get a solution through here.
Can admin change my password on both GalCiv2.com and Stardock.com and make them standard characters and the same and then sent it to me.
On a side note: If I dl the full game does it come with the latest pataches already installed?
