southpark

they are gone

well the comedy network forced SP to edit there toons. on public opinion. People are scared to show pics of muhammad because its against islamic law & they want to kill us over it. I say they cant kill us all.

I know this isnt the place to bring this up & im sorry for this "im just upset" & love you guys.

People say its about respect & i respect that opionion, people say a joke isnt worth people getting killed. "this is true" However its not the joke, it the fact that in america we can all joke abotut whatever, believe in what ever & still work & function & game togeather without MOST people wanting to kill eachother. IMO we are above that way of thinking ALONG with most of the GREAT world we live in.

I dont believe in worship myself, if there is a god or not I dont know. I wasnt here when back in the day. I choose to believe in myself & my family. However MOST of my family does, & we get along fine.

I bring this up because over here we joke & pick fun of alot of differant culture & religion & this IMO makes us less hateful of eachother somewhat. I cant stand the fact that americans wont allow muhammad to be show on tv yet we can sh*t on jesus, the american flag, everything else & its fine.

Now its changed, since now islam gets its way , does that mean we cant pic on jews, jesus, gays or anyone willing to whine enough or threaten us enough.

Im sorry but IMO america CAN NOT pick favorates on this.. ITS WRONG. either we are all victoms of none of are.

I know there are laws about what cant be said & shown on certain stations. like the F word & LIVE sex. & for good reason.

but if i can show pics of sh*t on jesus or talk crap about hitlar, why in the name of all that is right cant i do the same with muhammad.

forgive my spelling & grammer, i been up with my baby a while & have mostly 1 hand to use

Im sorry for ranting & if you erase this topic I understand. I just had to say something most people ive been talking to dont even know this has been a big debate as of late with soem major groups not only CC & southpark.

You may not agree but thats the point you are allowed to NOT agree. Dont just believe in free speech DEFEND it !!!!

I have to agree
my reasons why

1. Its ok to pook fun of christianity, and other major religions, but not ISLAM, just because they have a few fanatics.
Heck every religion has some form of fantatics.

2.Once we give up to intimedation and fear, that is when we lose.

3.This is suppose to be America, freedom of speech and the press ETC. We like i said before, shouldnt give up to intimedation and fear, just because there are some crazy funky people out there.

My 2 cents

We are not going to be intimidated by theses fanatics, if they want a war we will give'em some!

No amount of words are suffecient to express my emotions on this subject. We are supposed to be a pround and strong nation! Yet we kowtow to a society a century behind our own! Why should we care what they think. If any of those psychotic religious nuts seen a comic strip of jews (or anyone non-islamic for that matter) being gassed, they would be laughing their asses off. Normally I would ignore things of this nature... but South Park kicks ass!

You're too kind. I would say they are 1,000 years behind us, at least culturally.

I had hope & respect for them somewhat. that is untill the students & priests demanded the killing of people for toons & converting.

I hate being hateful. but at this point i dont really care what happens to the middle east at all. .. Thats really the wrong way to feel. but i just dont give a **** So I put one of these fingers on each hand up. lol sry had to

Actually, they model their "ideal" culture to be circa 700 A.D. That makes them 1306 years behind the rest of the world. It's a hypocritical culture/religion. The men are not allowed to even LOOK at a woman until they marry one. However, they are free to have all the relations they want wth other men..and they do, for the most part. It is rarly talked about, but it is rampant.
In fact, part of the reason the Taliban rose to power was the complaints by parents of their boys being raped and seduced. Until the Taliban, there was no law "on the books" ANYWHERE in the region about boy-rape, because it's allowed...just don't even LOOK at, or talk to a woman who isn't a close relative.
I live in New York City in an area where there is a large Muslem population. The women are dressed up like ghosts (gotta question ANY culture that hides it's womens beauty and oppresses them like they are dogs). The men, however, dress like hip-hop retards and oogle and harrass women ALL DAY LONG. Then in the afternoon they go to the mosque and preach to each-other about evil lust, brotherhood and purity.
A bunch of liars, who happen to be fanatics of an oppressive and ignorant culture.
Many are illegally here and never even intend to learn English or assimilate in anyway except to dress hip-hip, and stare at beautiful NYC women and curse them for being whores at the same time.

All the while they want to tell us how to live and we should convert or die. No thanks... I'd sooner die.

How can anybody protect this charade?

As far as South Park, how about Tom Cruise getting the hilarious "Stuck in the Closet" episode pulled? He did it by threatening NOT to promote Mission Impossible 3. The producvtion company and Comedy Central are owned by the same parent company. They should have told Crusie to get lost and if he doesn't promote the mpvie theyd sue his "eyes" off.
The problem is with Scientology. MANY Hollywood people are in this alien-abduction-believing cult. (Anyone see a patern here???) The episode Cruise got pulled ran months ago and exposed Scientology for the cult it is and showed hoe they believe that we are allposesessd by 1,000,000,000 year old aliens and the only way to get rid of them is through , yep, Scientology

Don't get me wrong, I DONT CARE IF YOU WANT TO WORSHIP A ROCK...just don't bother me about it. Isaac Hayes is also a hypocrite or he was forced by Cruise and the othe cultists to quit South Park. So why, 3 months after the scientology episode, did Isaac say on the Opie and Anthony satellite radio show, "Matt and Trey make fun of every religion and if you take the s--- seriously, the jokes on you."? Yep he said that and now he quits over it.

I think the couch jumping fruit-packer is a pompous @$$ who didn't knock up his "bride", and the baby will be adopted!

Religions are destroying the world!!!!!

I guess isaac made enough money to find faith. funny it took 10 years of talking crap about religion to pay for defending your own. hypofags.

Well the comedy network has the right to show or not to show a program (I'm assuming the FCC isn't involved), its not like its illegal to air a south park episode showing muhammad but its not in the networks best interest to do it....so they won't. So its not about free speech or the lack there of, its about money.

of course they have the right, & of course its about money, but sometimes you have to stand for something. even if its not the best intrest.

Dont worry soon they will be forced to edit more & more shit & get hurt in the long run. Even dave chappell said not to watch CC & he doesnt think he will do another season. I even hear they are giving carlos a hard time. Some people just dont think its right to single out one or the other, money or not its about pride in what we believe.
I have no doubt CC sold out because of money but that doesnt make it right.

They have started down the dark path & only we will suffer.

I plan to get every christian i can involved in this muhammad issue, Im going to use fear that the public values islamic feelings, over christian ones. Make muhammad look better than jesus in the eyes of the public & the jesus freeks will start to go nuts.

If your looking for a network (or any company for that matter) to take a "stand" it would have to be one with less to lose then CC. And then the "stand" is done as a last ditch effort for publicity rather then some abstract ideal of whats right.

Now if there was real FCC censorship involved then this would be become a real issue, but as of now its just a CC avoiding harmful controversy.

Matt & Trey are not renewing their contract so enjoy South Park while it lasts.

It was in fact the network, Comedy Central, that insisted on the censorship, and not the FCC. (For once.)

The FCC has many legitimate functions. Censorship is not one of them. The FCC website itself states:

The formal charge of Congress to the FCC can be summed up in less than 30 words – ensure that the American people have available, at reasonable costs and without discrimination, rapid, efficient, Nation- and world-wide communication services; whether by radio, television, wire, satellite, or cable.

The problem is, in order for communication to be rapid and efficient, consumer protection is vital. The FCC prevents fraud, 'slamming' (switching your long-distance provider without your knowledge), and other criminal activities that hurt the consumer. I don't think anyone would argue that these functions are overstepping the FCC mandate. However, a while ago, someone said, 'Hey, why isn't anyone protecting us consumers from all this filth in the media?' And suddenly mandating decency became part of the FCC as well. It's all been downhill from there.

Umm they are the CREATORS of SP. And when they quit, the show is over. This is likely the last season.

As long as someone brought this back up, if you ever get the chance read the short story Appointment in Tomorrow AKA Poor Superman. Famous Sci-fi author Fritz Lieber was making fun of scientology 50 years ago when L. Ron Hubbard was just starting to make up that nonsense.
