Bug example: lose 1 month on re-load

I've got a two saved games that show the missing month bug (and possibly others) on re-load.
The first is saved with one ship left to move at Aug 2196. It loads into Sep 2196 with the same ship left to move, a massive drop in my treasury (possibly due to my economy suddenly at -530 BC instead of +30/50). The Drengin have JUST been wiped out, but they show a ship or two as active and the Diplomacy screen still has them listed. Perhaps related to the snafu, the Arceans/Wreed (can't remember what I renamed them) went from Allied status to At War as soon as I took out the Drengin - who were also at war with the Arceans/Wreed.
The second is a continuation of the first game at Oct 2196. It's locked on processing the AI turn (for over a minute until I saved it and ended it in TM). You can still see the negative spike in all the mini-graphs; ship movement and combat is very slow; selecting Find did nothing, so I hit Turn, which is where the saved game is hung.
