Stuck at work

Some Friday stuck at work rhymes for y'all.

Itchin' to get out of this stuffy building, but the need for a paycheck is far from willing...to let me cut out early and ease my boredom, like last week and the million weeks before 'em. I'm trapped like a rat that can't find the open door to the cage, so I circle around and around with a dry pen on the page....hoping desperately that in this day and age....the quest for convenience doesn't take the place of the difficulty of being a member of this human race...and I'm losing, or at least I way off the track, and it's not like any of the competitors are going to help me get back....it's dog eat dog, and snake strike snake, its' raining cats and dogs, and my belly and headache...the earth shakes, trying to make me trip, and the flood waters rising trying to make me slip....and I do, you can see these skinned knees, sting from the bite of the cool spring breeze.......and if it would please....the court, I'd like to entertain, the lightning, thunder, and the rain......until every single soul is soaked, and we let them all drown and choke....so come up for air whenever you get the chance, even if it means canceling all previous plans........then when you finish first give a wave to the stands to the smiling fans, and their clapping hands.......cause I'm filling in my progress report with a #2 crayon......quitting time.
