Latest WindowFX Release and Prior Release causes screen flickering on dragging effects.

Here is my information:

WindowBlinds 5.0 System Information Report:

STATUS : WB+ SRV+ HLP+ UI+ TRAY+

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC.

WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

You have Stardock WindowFX running. Please be aware that WindowBlinds 5 is not compatible with WindowFX 2.11 or 2.19. WindowFX 2.5 beta which is compatible with WindowBlinds 5 will be released later this year

Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

You have one monitor in total.

(Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS

I am using the latest NVIDIA drivers. Prior to any transition effect when dragging a window or other places where transitions are, the screen flickers prior to the transition effect. I am connected through the DVI connection on my 7800GS to a Dell FP2405W widescreen display running at 1920x1200 32bit color.

Any tips for this issue? Has this been seen prior?

Thanks

Perhaps it's because...

. I found that WinFX 2.11 DID WORK with my Windowblinds 5. Perfectly infact. 2.19 (which wasn't leagl *cough*) didn't work. So I got rid of it.

My guess that is because it isn't supporting WB5, it will cause problems. Just what I think... this was my first time ever using WinFX (either version).

Even with WB5 turned off, I still get the flickering. For example the Window dragging anything other than the fading method causes a flickering prior to the effect taking effect.

The whole screen flickers once. Almost as if it is changing resolutions. Or you for a millisecond lost power.

It sounds like the drivers have a glitch when Direct3D is enabled.  If you have any settings which force a set refresh rate when in games, I would disable them as they may be causing this problem.

Its certainly not normal for WFX and its the first time I have seen something like this reported.

You might want to try older drivers too as latest is not always best with nvidia.
