Lest anyone mistake a lack of time to blog for a lack of happiness at the news of the Lady Terps taking the NCAA Womens Basketball Championship crown for the 2005-2006 season, dream on.
Coach Brenda Frese and her team deserve all of the glory and attention that they earned in their great win over the hated Blue Devils from Duke.
Maryland joins a select group of NCAA Division 1 schools that won both Mens and Womens championships in basketball. They also have the luxury of having both of their championship coaches still on staff.
The Lady Terps should be a force to be reckoned with for some time to come, since a great portion of the team is lower underclass, freshmen and sophomores, and not juniors and seniors. Hopefully they'll be back to defend their crown come final four season next year.
