Someone thinks Bonds should be in a needle exchange program
Fan tosses syringe at Bonds

This one should make for some great SportsCenter highlights.
A fan apparently decided that Barry Bonds needs to participate in a needle exchange program... or at least that is what I would expect Bonds is hoping for given that a fan decided to toss a syringe - apparently without needle - on the field towards him. I guess the fan figured (probably rightfully so) that Bonds would be very familar with how to handle a syringe.
As it turns out, apparently no harm was done. No needle on the syringe, and Bonds was familar enough with handling a syringe to know how to pick it up off the field and take to be disposed of.
Of course after the event occured and the game ended, Bonds went back to spouting off that the bad behavior was on the part of the fan, etc.
Nice to see that Bonds can be so easily reminded of what the fans believe of his so-called achievements.

Fan tosses syringe near Bonds
SAN DIEGO (AP) - A fan tossed a syringe near Barry Bonds as he came off the field in between innings on Monday at Petco Park, and the San Francisco Giants slugger said he picked it up in his glove and carried it off the field.
The syringe apparently did not have a needle.
"I just put it off the field so no one would get hurt," said Bonds, who is under investigation by baseball for alleged steroid use.
The syringe toss occurred after the bottom of the eighth inning of the San Diego Padres' 6-1 win over the Giants.
"If that's what they want to do, embarrass themselves, then that's on them," Bonds said. "That has nothing to do with me at all."
