weapon techs too highly valued?

Yeah I think they overvalue them too. I don't know about you but I'd take industrial sector over phasor mk4's any day

You have to have close relations in order to ask for a alliance.

And alliance tech.

Well for me the furthest i go as far as weapons tech goes is to the Evil Weapons, i RARELY research anything pass that.....Speaking of which...i wonder if i'm back to evil yet....Guess i'll see in a sec =P

(Also, if i surrender it counts as a loss right? Being, if i surrender 2 or 3 games but actually duked it out till the bitter end for the last 2 or 3, will i get that Wounded in Battle medal?)

If you are not seen as a threat. Meaning very low military rating compared to theirs. They will trade these Techs way more freely.

Or just research diplomatic techs and watch them offer all they have to you on a silver platter (in exchange for your diplomatic tech). Just make sure to sell the tech you traded away to everyone else afterwards because it's going to end up with them anyways, might as well make as much of a profit as you can.

I've noticed that they value some techs over others, not just weapons... Anything that gives trade or diplomacy bonuses... Conversely, they don't give a damn about Sensor techs.

One thing that irks me about the trade window is: say I have 4 techs I want to trade for X amount of BC... if I trade them all at once, I'll get significantly less BC in the end than if I traded those techs for BC individually. But that's not what irks me... What gets to me is manipulating that damn money slider, and the different arrow buttons for tens and ones... 4 times in a row... for each race.

It should just automatically put the maximum amount in there for me, really... I don't really need that kind of "immersion" factor to adjust that slider and the arrows each time. I know they're adding in arrow buttons for 100's in an upcoming patch, but it's still tedious.
