Custom Ships in Metaverse not showing up

Not sure if this has already been addressed...but could not find it anywhere.
I created custom ships while playing the regular game....they are base ships (without any weapons, defenses, shields, or modules)....and when I play a regular game they show up no problem as long as I have the appropriate hull size tech....however when I try and play a metaverse game...they are not available...I am using the same custom race and same type of ships (terran). Is there a trick to bring these ships overto the Metaverse games...or am I out of luck? thanks.

Thats because those ships are stored in different dirrectory. You can investigate and find the directory yourself and jsut copy the ships if you want.

There is a ship folder for regular games and one for Metaverse. I would guess it is set up that way because of modding. Some ships could be modded to the point of being a cheat??

Anyway you can copy and paste ships from one file to the other

Anyone else think it's silly you have to start a game via metaverse ? Is there some other differences ? I'd rather it just had some sort of cheat checker at the end of the game, and then you could post.

they had a 'cheat-checker' at the end of the game for GC1.......and cheaters found a way past it by hacking their game files to look kosha. yes, it's a pain if you have dial-up (like sad old me) but I just start and save a few games in a batch and go from there.....
