ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The FBI agent who arrested Zacarias Moussaoui in August 2001 testified Monday he spent almost four weeks trying to warn U.S. officials about the radical Islamic student pilot but "criminal negligence" by superiors in Washington thwarted a chance to stop the 9/11 attacks.

I always say shit happen, there is always that human factor. Before 9/11 no one took anything serious. No one believed terrorist would be stupid enough to attempt such a thing as fly planes into buildings. Everyone thought we were safe, till 9/11 happened.

It was already proven that our defense and inteligence system was not working and so that's why Homeland Security was created.

I am curious as to why you are bringing this up now, what happened happened. What's done is done and no one will go to jail for ignoring what they believed may have not been true due to the belief that we were untouchable.

I like how your headlines misrepresent what you write. You completely mischaracterize the testimony. There was never any specific actionable intelligence on the 9/11 attacks (date, time, personnel, method, etc.) just his concern that something serious was up. Should he have been listened to? Hell, yes. Easy to say now.

the agent in question applied over 60 times to get a search warrant for moose ow ees laptop,that was already in custody, all were denied.

I agree even to give the warrent just to get him off their back. But like I said, sh_t happens and sometimes being persistant and having a hunch is just not enough. Well it wasn't before, not sure about now.

Still there was that posibility that we would have not stopped 9/11 from happening anyways. Then again now that he's in custody and this agent's story is out, did they check his PC afterwards and find proof that the agent was right? It's the only thing I haven't seen yet.
