why can't you build ships from the colony screen?

1st) every time I try to build a ship directly from a planet view it doesn't work.

2nd) are there any super "gun" weapons, like the black hole generator or the doom ray? the highest attack I've seen I THINK is only 12, as opposed to over 30 for the other weapon classes

SUGGESTION: the ability to create own tech trees and new weapons

1st) You have to click "done" and not "back to planet" (i' m considering this as a minor bug)

I wasn't going mad then, I was just clicking the wrong button! It was late, the Drengi were looking threatening and I had nothing defending my planets... too busy spreading love & influence throughout my little universe!

Note to self - remember to push the Done button!
