Question about Economic Starbases

If I place a econ starbase in a friendly territory, will I get income from there trade routes even if none goto my planet?

If the trade route passes through the base's Zone of influence, and it is a trade route going to one of your planets somewhere, yes you get the bonus.

If neither end of the trade routes goes to one of your worlds, then you don't get squat. in other words, the base improves any of your trade routes that pass near the base.

The little freighters will be eventually... trade is between the two planets on the route going back and forth. What matters is a) does one end of trade route go to one of your planets? and b) is the starbase's range of effect covering part of the route?

Are you sure it has to be one of *your* trade routes? I thought any trade route going thru the ZoI would generate income for you.
