Metaverse Character Creation

Hi,

Sorry to ask what may turn out to be a silly question.

I've been happily playing around in the sandbox for a couple of weeks now, and this afternoon I finally decided that it was time to take a stab at the metaverse.

I clicked on 'Metaverse' in the main menu of the game, and was told that I needed to create a character first. Fine, I thought, and headed over to the website. I entered the Metaverse section, entered a character name and my serial number, and clicked on submit (or the equivalent). A little window popped up that said "Processing Data..." and stayed up for a few seconds.... then a few minutes....

It's now been about 25 minutes since I clicked the submit button, and that little window is still up. Did I do something massively, horrifically wrong? Is this just due to excessive traffic? Has this question been asked 42 000 times today and I just didn't notice?

EDIT: Blast, never mind. Apparently it's a known Firefox issue. I'll use Internet Explorer. Thanks anyway.

As you will have noticed your character has been created

I created a Metaverse char while my game was downloading. Now, when I try to log in to the Metaverse through the game, it tells me I need to create a new character, then gives me a parser error when my browser opens up. Doh?
