Double your fun with Fleet Invasions

I haven't seen this talked about as a bug, but the search function on this site doesn't seem to exist.

I noticed that if I invade a planet with a fleet of atleast 2 ships. (Lets say with 1000 troops each) I get 2000 when I battle the planet. When I win, I get a planet with a population of 2000 and a 1 invasion ship with 1000 troops still on it.

Seems I get a net gain of 1000 population and jump start on my next invasion.

I have no patched my game yet, but will soon. If the problem (bonus) is fixed, I will post results.

I've noticed this as well. For example.

Invade planet with three ships @ 1000 troops each using standard warfare, Win with 1150 troops left, keep one ship and 1150 population on planet

Invate planet with three ships @ 1000 troops each using Information Warfare, converting 750 citizens to troops, win with 2250 troops left, Keep two ships and 1500 population on planet

Hope this helps

Troop cloning is a known issue, and is hopefully on the list for 1.1 fixes...

im still impressed that every single galactic emperor manages to convince every single inhabitant, grandma and granchildren alike, to pick up a gun and fight, even if its a star democracy

Your population count is only registered taxpayers, so in reality it's no different than the numerous nations even today that utilize universal conscription/mandatory service.

are you all sure its still a problem? I'm pretty sure the last patch (the latest one) i downloaded said it fixed that problem and i dont think I've had it happen since then.

Is it just me or do the transports that are left over from invading a planet with a fleet get their full movement points back after the invasion?

From what I've seen in 1.0x, the transport stays in orbit and keeps it's people. The only people on the ground are the ones from the disbanded transport. The attack did not use a movement point, so you can move on.

I thought I read that they fixed this... let's confirm that the people having problems are using the latest version...
