Awesome Cutscenes!

Just wanted to mention how much I like the cutscenes - I have seen the cultural victory screen. I won't spoil anything but its a hoot!

Although i give credit where credits due, and cutscenes in games have been cut back on in recent years in favour of other things. Im also glad gal civ 1's cutscenes were kept, looking a bit dated, but the game wouldnt be quite what it is without them.

I'm not too sure if I agree about keeping all the old ones... I saw the cutscene that plays when you lose your first freighter... the fuzzy sound, low-resolution audio and poor animation made me cringe when all the others are of relatively good quality.

Graphically speaking, the cutscenes are by far the weakest part of the game. Nevertheless this game is fan-freakin-tastic and I am completely hooked, cheezy cinematics and all.

I really liked the intro movie. Tthe others are pretty good, but nothing really outstanding.
