Why Can't BOTH Parties just shut up and work!

Hello again.

Sorry about my old post, I had had a very bad day when I wrote that article. Anyway, the reason I am writing today is that I am just frustrated. The US Supreme Court Confirmation hearings were not based upon Sam Alito's abilities or credential, or even his view on issues. It all came down to one thing: Abortion. Now, many of you seem to think I am a right wing nut do to my other post, but this is NOT this case. Yes, I am Republican, but I do not agree on all their ideals. I DO NOT support the idea that abortion is being used as a method of birth control. Also, I DO support abortion in extreme circumstances(eg. rape) I am getting a little off topic though. I basically started this post/article to see what everyone else thinks about this issue. Both parties need to sit down, put aside their differences, and work TOGETHER to better the country.

Both parties severely lack any sort of compassion for average Americans. They ARE working together, friend, they're working together to screw us all out of every dime they can.

Exactly. While I am Republican, and I do support the war in Iraq, I say let us finish what we started, and then when 2008 comes God help us if someone like Hillary Clinton is elected. But anyways, both parties need to do what is right for the average American that works the 9-5 shift.

Well Said.

I hope to become a more active blogger on JoeUser, so you will be hearing a lot more from me

I consider a major source of the problem to be career politicians. If your job is to stay in office, then only part of your job is to appropriately serve your constituents. The other part is to compromise on your principles to have money to campaign the next time around. I think we need some form of term limitation, even if to start it's just not serving consecutive terms.

Start removing the incentive to screw people over, and they might just start serving the people, since they'll be forced to be the people from time to time.
