Weak Drengin AI?

Hey

I've played a few games (one on sub-normal and 3 on normal) as the Terrans and Iconians. It seems that the Dreingins are always increadably weak with few planets, poor reaserch and a bad economy. They are always the first to get knocked out and conquered.

I always thought the Drengins are supposed to be the militaristic tyrants of the galaxy. O well

Anyone else notice this, or is it just my luck?

As in GC1, military still sucks, research is still overpowered, and the AI reflect those facts painfully.

Weird, same here, played a lots of Games ranging from Normal to Crippling, and the Drengin are always the first out of the game, pretty much every time. They dominate early on, but never enough to hurt any other of the civs, and by then everyone is way ahead in tech than them and they die out. Happens pretty much every game.
