Yes or No?

JU's Birthday Club

And While I’m on the subject or thought of always putting my foot in my mouth, I guess I’ll just do it again.

I started the Joe User Birthday Club as a way for us as a community to give a resounding Happy Birthday to our fellow bloggers. I thought it was a good idea at the time. (I’m too happy with nothing else to do,LOL!)

Many of you have joined and that’s just great, you made me feel proud.

I would like to continue with it. I think it’s a great thing to do as a community. However, I can’t help but feel that sometimes I’m just wasting my time. OK, maybe not wasting my time, that didn’t come out right, but, you get what I’m trying to say?

My idea was for a big “roast” to the birthday person. And if he or she can take a joke and is more than friendly with the person celebrating, the more fun it would be.

Alas, it hasn’t gone has planned.

So, do I get rid of it and not bother sending greetings anymore? Or do I continue? It’s really no effort on my part to send the greetings out and no, I didn’t start it for points. I’m saying it because I know someone thought it!

So, JU, Yes to the JU Birthday Club or No?

I think it's a nice thing- even though my birthdays are gettin' a little out of hand! I vote to keep it up if you enjoy doing it.

Shovel - you're a poet and you don't know it - lol!

I say keep doing it if you enjoy it. Let it go if you aren't getting anything out of it. That's my nice no vote vote. Okay I'll give you a real vote. I'll say yes because I want everyone here to wish me a happy birthday when it rolls around and there's no way I'm going to post my own it's my birthday today blog that would just seem sad but someone else wishing you happy birthday isn't sad - it's fun

My dad used to say: You're a poet and don't know it but your feet show it 'cause they're longfellows!

groan!

as long as you wish me a happy birthday on my day I am happy with that.

keep it if it gives YOU pleasure, dump it if it's not what you wanted.

I didn't know you had one, but I think it is a nice idea.

I don't know so much about the roast. Sometimes people who can take joke have moments when all they want is warm fuzzies not roasties. Hmm... maybe I'm speaking for myself.

But keep it. It's a nice, community minded idea.
