Scope of planet buildings

Greetings,

1- Do farms supply only the planet they are built on or the whole empire?
2- What about the factories, moral buildings and influence? Is the scope the planet or empire? For example, I put an influence building on a corner of my empire, does it project over the other corner or it has a phere of infuence too?
3- The research centers, as the factories, do they need a certain amount of population on the planet (or empire) to be operated or they just need BCs allocated?

Thank you

1- Only the planet they're on.
2- I believe that your overall influence affects every planet (hold mouse over number of influence in planet display. there's like half of influence who comes from "civilization influence")
That said, it's more efficient to build your embassies on your border planets. I feel like a tile used as an embassy pn a faraway planet is research or manufacturing you're not having :/.
3- BC allocated. But there's talk of changing that.

Does that mena, for example, if I colonize Marsh, I am better to simply put Research centers and nothing else?
Putting farms will only make that planet to have more population (raise a little bit more taxes) and it willnot do anything more.

correct, and even more because low-quality planets have a limit on how much population they can have. Not even the first farm you build on mars will be fully used.

However, don't forget to build a factory also, otherwise the research centers will take too long to build. Which is why, since you have to build a factory there anyway, I usually turn Mars into a cheap ship producer, with two factories and a starport.
