Personal Quirks

Any of you guys find certain things happening each and every game, even when you don't mean for them to happen?

For me it seems that the Torians always manage to find a Ranger. Somehow I always end up making friends with the Arcaens, and foes out of the Terrans.

I find myself regularly killing trillions of aliens. *Shrugs*

Actually though, the Terrans almost always go to war with me, no matter who I am and what I do.

Torians must have luck then. I've found that in every game I play, if you're evil+powerful the Arceans WILL attack you. Doesn't matter about trade, gifts, fear, diplomacy, anything. They'll gun for you. Oh, and the Korx generally kiss my shin y pink behind.

Ditto with the Terrans, they always seem to have a problem with mw. Foolish humans, hurling themselves out into the void.

Every single game the Altarians are aggressive expanders, as if they read up on Earth's history and found subjects on Rome or Manifest Destiny or some crap... Every single game they are always top or second in terms in military might and population/colony count... and they're always pushing base with their neighbors... non-militaristic peaceniks my arse... Even when placed nearest to the dreadlords on a DreadLords on Parade map they dont die...

I play as Terran, and even though the Arceans are historically my buddies, they always seem to wanna rumble with me. The Alterians generally get all chummy, though.

I see this more often than not. However, I just finished up a game playing as the evil evil Yor, with demonic alignment, and I achieved a political victory. Yes, the Arceans were neck and neck with me in terms of military power and technology, and they hated me for nine-tenths of the game, but I managed to get them all buddy-buddy at the end. I should have wiped them out anyway, but it was still a nice victory regardless.
