Cursor doesn't disappear when typing

Hey guys, I use Lotus Notes for email and before using CursorXP when I started typing, the cursor would disappear so it wound't be in the way but it doesn't seem to do that with CursorXP. It's quite annoying cause the cursor moves along with the text as I type. If you don't follow what I mean, open up word and start typing, you'll see that the cursor disappears.

Is there any way to fix this?

do you have it checked to hide when typing (under normal mouse properties)? CursorXP disappears on cue for me when I type in Word. Only shows if I move the mouse or press ctrl. Right now as I type, the mouse cursor is on the first word, where it has been since I started typing.

Yep, the option is ticked to hide when typing. Which it does under every other app except Lotus Notes. The cursor just moves along as I type (and you can imagine how annoying that is).

okay, now I have confused myself...

are we discussing the little blinking cursor or the mouse cursor?

if it's the mouse cursor that's following you around - use the hot key for cursorxp disable/enable (it's in the configure somewhere, I'm at work and don't have access)

Yep, we are talking about the cursor which follows you around, not the blinking one. If I disable cursorXP it works OK - but is a bit of a pain doing it everytime I want to send out an email.

just in Lotus Notes? weird.
I've never used Lotus Notes, is there possibly a setting in preferences somwhere that maybe turns that off?

i just find it odd the mouse cursor would follow you around with cursorxp on but not when it's disabled since basically all cursorxp does is replace the pic used for the cursor.

Yeah, it's just in Lotus Notes. It sure is strange.
