What's Up With That?

So, I'm sure you've all heard that Mel Gibson is pocketing all the profits from his movie, The Passion of The Christ. I have read that a lot of people are upset about this. I, personally, am glad he is. The movie is one of the biggest blcokbusters of out time and it made more money in the first week than 11 Oscar Awards Winning, The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. I don't have exact numbers but of course someone that is reading this knows so I'm not worried about it. Another interesting fact is that Mel paid for the movie with his own money, so obviously, he deserves to take all the profits.
I didn't really write this article to inform as I'm sure you can tell. I wrote this to get your opinion and I'm sure I'll get it. Do you think he should take all the profits? And do you think this movie could take more oscars than LOTR:ROTK? Or if you have anything else to say about this movie I'd be glad to hear your opinion.

My guess is it'll get squirreled away in the foriegn language catagory, then again it may take on
a "Hidden Dragon" artsy following.....
Mel made the movie, it was a gamble, certainly he should profit from it.
He more than likely has inspired more than enough to attend churches
and if you are a believer then his reward is just.
If you're not a believer then you have to give him credit for the best marketing campaign ever.

Either way, it's a great way to make a profit..................

Fair enough. I can deal with that. So you DO think he should pocket the profits?

I think he should donate it to Scientology, aka John Travolta and Tom Cruise.

BAM!!!

Why would he donate it to them exactly? I guess he could of course but should he? If he made the movie in Gods name than maybe he would use the money he gains in God's name.
