Hey just got the game last week, electronic download version. Just got a quick question, I don't know if this is really a bug or just me not knowing what to do. My problem is that I would love to make some screenshots but hitting the print screen button (usual default for making screenshots) does not seem to save any pictures to any folder in the Stardock tree or in the My Documents tree. I guess my questions are twofold: one am I using the right key (couldn't find any key mapped to Screenshots in the literature) and two, if i am using the right key where do i find those pics. Would love to see some cool pics of my ships.

The game doesn't have an internal auto-save for screen captures. You need to either manually paste the PrintScreened image into an image program or use a screen capture program.

I don't understand screen capture programs. Just press print-screen and paste the image into ms-paint (if you don't have a better image editing program) and save it somewhere as a JPG file. Easy peeeeezy. Rinse and repeat for each screenshot you want to take.

Press Alt+Tab to go back to the desktop after you took a screenshot, open paint, paste, save the image and continue your game.

For some programs though, you don't have to go through the trouble of copying, naming, and saving the file.

You can set it up so it would automatically give it a name with a number.

It might not save you that much time on one or two pictures.. but if you are doing a lot of screen cap, all the time saved will be quite a lot.
