Looking forward to looking forward

So I've kind of decided that there was nothing completely different about last weekend except that someone shed a little light into my world and let me see how nice it can be when I can see better. As the healine states, I really am looking forward to looking forward....whatever that may mean: career, dreams, etc.. A line I decided I'd like to put in a song or poem as I was driving home today was "I don't need a woman to complete me, but it would definitely help." Or better stated, I won't need a woman to "complete me" until I have every other piece of the puzzle....and I am, of course still missing pieces. But in my puzzle, I think a good woman is probably one of the corner pieces. And don't most people work on a puzzle from the edges and move inward?
I got lost again biking around downtown minneapolis, but love how nice it is that no matter where I am in Minneapolis I can't be that far from home. I know that no matter how long I call the city my home I will always be a recovering suburbanite. In many ways the suburbs are like the ghetto....a lot of people really are trapped there. I'll spare the economic/societal necessity rant, but knowing that I have one at all may fill in the blanks for you.
Fortunately, I missed a meeting I was supposed to attend as a result of getting lost. I say fortunately, because it's for a job I only work 4 hours a week and my counterpart that does the same job said I didn't miss much. I'm glad I took the extra time to make myself a bagel sandwich and write postcards.
St. Patty's Day on Wed. and I'll get a chance to connect with a bunch of college friends who'll be in town for their spring break (most of whom are on the 6 year plan, and no, they're not doctors) to see some mutual friends play some irish music while we all get silly. I think I'm most looking forward to wearing my green polyester suit....though it doesn't fit very well anymore. but even if the suit doesn't fit, many thing about this week still will.
