deleting characters and problem with posting

Perhaps it's really obvious, but I can't seem to find any way to delete a character from my metaverse account?

Also, I'm still having trouble with the whole "serial number on game doesn't match serial number stored on server. I have been through everything and my serial number is the same in all of these places:
Stardock Central
After clicking "Update Serial" from game launcher
Email from [email protected] after requesting a "Lookup serial number..."

So, the saved games I have were created using the OLD serial number. Is the serial number somehow tied to the savegames, so that my serial number from when the games were created is locked to that savegame, forever making it impossible to submit them?

(Yes, I have a diffrent serial number now than when I originally purchased the game. Don't ask me how, but the email from a few days ago does not match the email from when I originally pruchased the game through TGN.)

WTF? Okay, this is weird.

I installed SDC on my laptop, fed it my TGN serial number during install.

I install GalCiv2.

I pull up the serial number... and it's some weird serial number I've never seen before, which is different from any serial number I have ever received from Stardock.

I also just requested another email with serial numbers, and it has a different serial number AGAIN.

What is going on with my serial number? Seriously... this is really annoying and confusing.

Sorry to keep posting replies on my own topic...

But I just requested 3 emails from Stardock with my serial number, and it gave me a different serial number EVERY TIME.

How am I supposed to make sure that my serial number that I have with my local copy of the game matches what's on the server, when it changes merely by requesting a serial lookup? What serial is stored on the server, then?

Startdock generates a new SN everytime you ask and associates that number with your account.

So, if I use the latest SN, then, it will allow me to post my past games onto Metaverse?

Yes, that is my understadning.

Go to Stardock Central, look under Tools/Register Products. Then under Products select GalCiv 2 and check the serial number there. Even if you enter the correct serial number in the game launcher, it doesn't matter, the game will pull the serial number from here in Stardock Central. My SDC had a totally different and strange serial number here. Update the serial number here in Stardock Central, then update it in the launcher. Then play a one turn Metaverse game, retire, and see if you can then upload it to the Metaverse. That is how I got it working and tested it to make sure.

Hope this helps.

It seems to work now. I think the problem was that I had a savegame that was created with one serial number, and then I kept changing my registered serial number. Anyway, the whole serial number situation is VERY confusing.

It appears that I spoke too soon...

That's it. I guess I need to open a ticket with support. Does anyone know what the email address is for support?
