Object Viewer for Ship Building

I still have not received my copy of the game *shake* *shake* *twitch*, but after reading many posts regarding how long the ship parts list is, and how "difficult" it is to build a well designed ship for some. I figured why not have an object viewer? (similar to Neverwinter Nights Aurora Toolset for laying down placeables and creatures) Whether or not this issue has been addressed already I don't know. I have read that currently you have to literally select and place a part to see what part it is you have selected, and until you have many hours of shipbuilding under your belt, you are almost lost. (kind of like looking for a particular script or function within the Neverwinter Nights Aurora toolset)

But a small window that shows an enlarged graphic of the ship part you are about to place would aid in finding what a designer is looking for, IMO.

Any thoughts?

The piece you are going to place shows up in the 3-D view with the ship. It just takes a little practice to get things to line up in the 3-D view, and sometimes it is a little tough to judge scale of an item (size can be adjusted by a slider) till after you snap the piece into place.

Overall, it works very well and is lots of fun. If you want, you can just press the "Place" button and the computer will slap the piece somewhere for you, but you can sure do some cool looking stuff if you want to do it your self.
