Login before starting a game to post score?

Am I just a dope?

Can you only post games on the metaverse if you start the game through the metaverse manager screen? I started a game without logging in first, and I'm not getting any options to post it.

This is by design, since the game is moddable. Otherwise, people could make outrageous claims with their scores and just FUBAR the whole Metaverse. By starting the game using the Metaverse it dumps all mods and uses a release version of the game, thus insuring everyone is on the same playing field.

In Galciv I at the end of every game you got the chance to upload Metaverse scores.

Mods included.

In Galciv II You have to:

A. Login to the metaverse manager, Create a character by inputting your serial code (Or TG.Net code if that apply's) and name. Then startup the game, Click the metaverse tab and login with your stardock account.

Play the game.

Finish the game.

Submit scores.

The main difference is that a metaverse game ONLY uses the core rules, This means no custom maps, No scenarios and certainly no mods.
