20 down

-or- meeting a milestone

Well, after a couple of weeks of little progress, I was astonished yesterday to hop on the scale and see what my weight was at.

I was down 20 pounds!

I was astonished, excited, all of the above. It was great to have reached that milestone, and in under 6 weeks no less. It has been very motivating to see the loss in terms of numbers, as well as in terms of my clothing. It is also a little difficult, as I don't think I often notice the change as much as others.

But my wife has been getting lots of comments from some of her friends, all remarking on how much weight I have lost. It is nice to know it isn't all in my head.

Now, only 10 more pounds to go until I have earned my iPod!

WAY TO GO!!!!!!

That is really a great accomplishment.  It is also a great example of the fact that people don't need pills, gimmicks or surgery to lose weight.  It takes dedication to eating well and exercise.

Great job!  When ya' going to post "before" and "after" photos?

Wow! I'm very impressed! Good luck on the final 10, that can be the hardest to lose.

Excellent mate. Well done. Are you going to post a before and after picture, the after with you holding your Ipod? It would be good to see the 'new' you.

Thanks Karma. It is exciting to know I have done it 'naturally', just with watching what I eat and being more active. If I can do it, anyone can.

Good luck on the final 10, that can be the hardest to lose.

Thanks FS. Though I hvae to be honest, that isn't the final 10. It was just a midway goal I set for myself to keep me motivated.

Just got some new Cell phones, so I will write an article on that.  Needless to say, your generation does not know about Duke!  At least not the ones at Verizon!
