VERY BAD Day for the White House

Today was a VERY bad day for Bush. Brown blasts lack of response for help from Bush after Katrina. An Abramoff E-mail says he met with Bush a dozen times and that Bush even joked with him about his family. This was after Bush said "he did not know Abramoff".The VP told his former assistant to leak classified information to the press. Finally, the former CIA official Paul Pillar the 28 year veteran who coordinated ALL intelligence for Iraq said Bush Cherry-picked intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq and that Bush had made the decision to invade Iraq aside from the intelligence. WHAT ELSE will become known about our president?

It's all about perspective, Gene, something with which you are entirely unfamiliar. We'll see how much of this turns out to be as you characterize it.

You forgot to mention Michael "Doin' a Heck of a Job" Brown's sworn testimony that contradicts Bush's statements about Hurricane Katrina.

At this rate they may not be elected again... how awful. Oh, wait....

Please, keep right on paying attention to the great and powerful oz, while the the congressmen behind the curtain do whatever they please. Hard-line REpublicans love this kind of thing. A lot of meaningless uproar that doesn't threaten any of their congressional candidates.

Even better, their congressional candidates can make a show of disapproving of the President's actions. You realize that it is a good strategy for a lame duck President to FEED the flames of this kind of thing. How can they hurt him? At the same time, every other potential candidate with a skeleton in his closet gets a free passm, and REpublicans in moderate states get to play moderate condemning the President meaninglessly.

Keep up the good work, Col.

From a goat to a hero, huh? Suddenly Brown is reliable & to be believed. Interesting how things change.

He was probably told by the Republican leadership to give Dems something to chew on for a distration through the this years election. Folks don't ponder how three card monty works. A meaningless scandal covers a great many issues candidates would rather not talk about.

Give them something to shout "rhurbarb" about and they'll tear and their hair for months while Democratic candidates languish with no press.

Did you read the three page story about what Pillar Said? What the hell does perspective to do with Cheney telling his assistant to provide classified information to the press? What perspective explains Bush saying he did not know a man that he has met 12 times and with whom he joked with about his family? What was Bush doing about the need for help in the Gulf and his statements that he was unaware of what CNN and the Red Cross knew two before the President claimed he knew how big of a disaster had taken place in the Gulf?

and when you invent a time machine, let me know and I'll ride back with you. You foil their election bid, and I'll take a list of lottery numbers.

Two more items I did not mention. Today the Dept of Commerce announced the Trade Deficit hit an all time high. OMB said this week the 2006 deficit will be the largest EVER!
