You know I watched "the Passion of Christ" and did not walk away with an ounce of Anti-Semitism since it was the Romans that killed him unless Jewish people wore Roman armor and played Roman Legionnaires.
Though, unless a person was Anti-Semitic to begin with than the person should not become anti-Semitic after having seen the Passion movie. Kind goes for all racists/intolerance beliefs if you hear, read, see, etc. stuff along those lines you don’t magically become that way unless it already existed in you to begin with, which is why KKK and the other groups still have Free Speech, right?

Plus, that image of Jesus has existed in the Spanish culture for almost a thousand years, look into it. You will see Spain and its offspring countries picture Jesus as all bloody with torn flesh but I guess you might say because of that the started the Inquisition but the Inquisition was in more places than Spain. Plus don't forget the History that Spain has with Islam and Judaism including some prominent Jews who wrote important Kabbalah books.

If my memory serves me right, the man who wrote the Zohar was from Spain.

Listen to the Gypsy Kings and along with that Spanish music you can actively hear the influences of Arabic and Jewish culture mixed in with the Spanish style.

If Mel Gibson is Anti-Semitic than he is not going to last long in Hollywood is he? Of course he could work with Disney (Paramount/Buena Vista/Disney) but maybe not even than. Plus does Mel require you attend a Mass, seminar or other such thing before you do business with him?

this says nothing bout cruise spouting separation of church and state--nor is church and state involved at all, unless, of course, he's doing business with a government agency. it's an idiotic business practice; of course, anyone who goes along with it is an equally idiotic sycophant (a major qualification for success in the biz).

the only way this relates at all to the 'left of hollywood' would be if you interpret that to mean west hollywood and if tom also insists on blowing potential partners (an equally plausible explanation for nicole having moved on).

While the issue of requiring any adult to be force fed religion againt their will bothers me, Tom Cruise (whether he realizes it or not) is not the government. I have seen all sorts of completely rediculous contractual requirements demanded by our pampered and pompous "personalities". This to me is no different.

Just as Van Halen wouldn't play a date if the caterer didn't seperate the M&Ms by color; whether willing, the Dixie Chicks won't go on if they don't have a Tee Time for the day of, or following the show; The Ramones prefered to not stay in the same hotel as each other (which was strange because they all did get along great); and Jerry Garcia required the "headliner" dressing room to himself, with his own key (which he locked behind him after both entering and exiting); Tom Cruise has chosen forcing his religion on anyone who wants to do business with him.

Plain and simple, entertainment is a "reality" where, if you don't want to endulge the big names, you don't get them to play in your show.

That was what I was thinking when I first read this.  I think it is more of an ego trip than anything.  I like Tom Cruise movies, but I'm not so sure of his off-screen life.  But, I really don't care what an actor does, since all I'm interested in is the movie.  The business people have a choice- they can just not do business with him.

Same thought here. I sure as heck wouldn't be paying to extend a business trip to take a religious tour. Plus, it wasn't even until recently that I heard Cruise was in that movie. I would go see it even if it was a bunch of no names.
