I do not know the the author of this piece. It was passed along as an e-mail attachment. Personally I found it funny and very much to the point nowadays.

security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile
certain people. They must conduct random searches
of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with
proper identification, secret agents who are members
of the President's security detail, 85-year old
Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor
winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim
Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone because of
profiling.

Let's send this to as many people as we can so
that the Gloria Aldreds and other dunder-headed
attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to
thwart common sense, feel doubly ashamed of
themselves -if they have any such sense.

As the writer of the award winning story "Forrest
Gump" so aptly put it, "Stupid is as stupid does."

Come on people wake up!!!

Just a thought:
I think you can and should have a focus on certain types of people, but in the end you still have to search the 80year old lady

Why?

Because they can carry the needed material to the ones who want to do something on the plane.
You see, money will make some people do anything.

For example, drug dealers know that black people get stopped on specific routes on US highway, so they hire white male to ship good and may even use black males for decoys while the real shipment gets through.

So instead of having a pattern of searching ONLY Muslims, maybe you better still search others.

Okay, I'm really confused as to why Australia is in that list, we've never been under a dictatorship and the United States has never helped to remove a power in Aus. Nor have they directly been responsible for 1000's of deaths.

Trina, I don't intend this is a mean way, but you do know that Australia is founded on a genocide that killed 90% of the indigenous population? Even after the killing stopped, children were forcibly separated from their parents, the so-called "Stolen Generations," to be raised by white families in a cultural genocide. This isn't ancient history, this was happening until the 1970's.

I don't really give a crap whether the US did "bad things" at various times in its history. What I do care about are people doing bad things to me and my family.

Have you been shot by Iraqi insurgents? Has your child been kidnapped, beheaded, and dragged through the streets? Has your wife been raped and murdered in the name of Allah? Unless bad things have in fact been done to YOUR family, then your point is moot. And if you consider America your family, well then, how come I haven't received any Christmas cards?

Yes I know all about the stolen generation, and I know about WW1, 2 and Vietnam etc. The question was what has the United States done to remove subverse powers in this country. Because Australia was listed in Myr's example of the United states being responsible for 1000's of deaths.

I'm not talking about English settlers killing Indigenous Australians or Australians being responsible for the killings in other countries I'm talking about when has the United States been directly responsible for the deaths of 1000's of Australians.

G.W Bush didn't bribe John Howard to go to Iraq did he? Australia hasn't had any dictators and the USA hasn't had a hand in the removal of any of our governments. At the time of the Stolen Generation stuff USA was dealing with it's own issues.

I'm not in denial about the way this country was founded. I'm just wondering what that's got to do with the US? As far as I knew the people who founded Aus were British - British setlters and British convicts.

Australia's in that list because John Kerr, Governor General at the time of Whitlam's dismissal once worked for a well-known CIA front. So of course he was working for the CIA when he dismissed the government. I don't find the argument particularly persuasive (there were much better explanations for getting of Whitlam than CIA involvement), but the US has done stranger things before.

I have been the victim of profiling while travelling in England. I fit the bill for what their security services see as a terrorist. I am young, I am male, I am from Belfast.

To those of you who applaud profiling I can only say, wait till it happens to you.

Profiling CAN be bad - but right after 9/11 we KNEW the type of people we were looking for, and a lot of people were saying we need to be careful not to profile. When there is a crime that a certain part of the population is most likely to have commited, I support profiling completely. I also support it in cases of public safety. For example, we know that as people get very old their driving skills deteriarate. I think that over a certain age driving tests should be administered every year to ensure that the public is kept as safe as possible. Profiling can be tricky, but it's very effective. The problem is that as humans mistakes will always be made in using it. This isn't a reason to not use it - just a reason to keep it's use regulated.

Let's start with a little correction. It's *Sirhan Sirhan* who was born in Jerusalem and was a Palestinian. Link Where did you find reference to him being a christian? Second *Munich olypmics* the test says NOTHING about muslim groups! It says muslim extremeists! The 1979 kidnapping. Again muslim exetremeists or did you think that the Irani Homani system were born again christians? The old jewish man killed in 85. AGAIN the test says NOTHING about muslim groups. You do NOT need to be part of a group to be an extremeist. And the PLO is made up of what? christians? The 88 bombing done by Libeyan intelligence? The test says NOTHING about Islam! Once again it says muslim extremeists. Gadafi was what? A christian?
